The Path

To come to the realization that the nature of pure and absolute being resides within the core of one's self is the essential goal. The path that leads to it involves the examination of the mind's true nature. If the mind identifies with the thought process and the world of mere sensory input, it is rendered incapable of perceiving what is beyond. When this identification with Thought has been eradicated through acute awareness, the possibility of seeing the real presents itself.

The belief that we are the thinker, the observer that stands apart from the observed, is common to us all. What is suggested here is that we need to examine the source of thought. This examination amounts to a comprehensive awareness of the entire process of thinking. When one is totally aware of the thinking process, the mind no longer reacts unconsciously, manipulated by the laws of conditioning, but becomes perfectly conscious in the present moment. As the mind's attention turns within, residing at the source of all thought, the world of objects disappears, thus eliminating the distinction between subject and object, observer and observed.

The mind ceaselessly wanders about, always searching and questioning, giving credibility to its own projections. The mind remains ignorant of its true nature and thus creates the world of objects in order to define itself... but in vain.

The intention here, in these writings, is not to entertain readers with theoretical discourse, but to inquire into the possibility of achieving genuine self-knowledge through direct observation, forgoing the interpretations associated with the various systems of metaphysical thought. When there is an appropriate and persistent investigation into the source of the mind, the subject of thought is made silent and then, inevitably, realization of the true identity appears: that which is of the nature of infinite being.
